It took me a couple of chapters to get into this book but by chapters four and five I was really hooked on the main characters. Out of the way but believable stories of mountain men and their habits. The best are laugh out loud funny, and the rest are pretty good as well!

This is a wonderful book on climbing/ mountain experiences with laugh out loud humour throughout it. An extremely enjoyable book.

I have read in the past a couple of the stories and found them enjoyable, this time you have two volumnes in one in the format individual stories of 4/5 pages, easy to pick up and put down, not a continious story, a slight off beat humour which I personally enjoy, You have to be aware that the format is all about climbing days out and the characters met along the way. If looking for a deep plot or subtle story line this is not for you.
Personally I found it great afternoon reading with a cup of coffee or tea for 20 minutes or so..
very enjoyable.

Very funny and sardonic outdoor adventure stories. 14 Oct. 2014
By Paul Martzen - Published on Amazon.com
For outdoor adventure people, mountaineers, these are very funny stories. I had read many before, but it is nice to have a complete collection.
