Product Description

Product Description

Have you ever had a holiday wrecked by a smelly hotel room? Lousy train service? Local Council Bureaucracy? A defective washing machine? Are the people responsible refusing to take your calls? Are you being fobbed off? The British aren't known for their skills at complaining; faced with endless tube delays, lousy service in a restaurant, or shoddy goods, we are more likely to apologise or roll our eyes than take up our grievances with the authority concerned. "The Complete Complainer" is a handbook on how we as consumers can stand up for our rights. It is also an entertaining guide to getting what you want without losing either your temper or your sense of humour. Although the reverse of being a dull legal text book, it outlines in clear form the essential legal principles of consumer issues - and then, much more importantly, describes the tactics needed to win through. By way of illustration, the book features the best and most effective examples of Jasper's letters.

A True Mr Fixit 30 Aug 2001
By A Customer
Jasper Griegson doesn't just talk about it - he swings into action whenever something goes wrong, be it a maggot in your soup or that new car from hell you've just bought yourself. But what's more,he makes the art of complaining so much more fun with his inimitable style of writing. Indeed, you can just imagine the look on the face of some MD or President as they open one of JG's withering letters over their morning coffee! JG has the knack of winning over his prey by putting them in the position of their hapless customer to achieve his goal. Highly amusing, practical and informative, this book should be required reading not just for consumers, but for every so-called customer-care department. More power to Jasper's elbow ( and pen)!

This book is a little out of date by now, but the way of thinking it suggests is one I feel is useful. Suggestions are given about tactics for taking complaints to the organisations that often let us down. If we don't let these firms know where they go wrong it will only get worse!
