Format: Paperback
Many books on this subject are either fluffy or too technical. This book is an exception. It is written in a friendly and accessible style. You don't need to be an expert or aim to be one, to use this book. It is well produced; the colour photos are functional and crisp.

Our modern tempo of life abuses our muscles and mind and they need tending. The chapter on Self-Massage can be used daily while on a train, bus, office or at home while watching television. You can get a friend or partner to join in and use the instructions in the book. It may help you to become an expert in time.

I have seen Nicola work and she brings her love and care for the health and healing of people. Just the chapter of Self- Massage will recover the cost of the book. Time to get healthy and relax by using this handy book. Recommend it.

This book is full of clear pictures that help you to understand every passage of the massage. It contains an explanation of all the main massages, so it's usefull for who want to learn the correct movements to do and who needs a bit of theory.
I bought this book to improve and refine my ability to massage (for no professional use), doing the right thing in the right way, and it was worth it!

This is a very good book for anyone who is interested in this subject. It has easy to follow step-by-step guides to a number of massage techniques with clear, colour photographs. It is aimed at the beginner rather than anyone who has advanced knowledge of the subject but also has a handy list in the back of associations that can provide more information/training.

THe main areas covered by this book are Swedish, face and scalp, reflexology, shiatsu, Indian head, on-site/seated, Tui Na, Thai, partner, infant and pregnancy massage. Self, acupressure, ayurvedic, lymphatic drainage and sports are also covered but only demonstrated to perform on yourself. There is a section on aromatherapy as well as a brief description on other types of massage. These are: Lomi Iomi, polarity therapy, Bowen technique, Feldenkrais, Rolfing, craniosacral therapy and reiki.

This is a comprehensive and informative book which should be on most peoples book shelf. It can make you popular with all your friends. The book covers literally all sorts of massage and is detailed but not overpoweringly, there are large pictures to go along with the descriptions which proves very useful!
