Richelieu has decided to get rid of Dogtanian once and for all. Though Rochefort protests, the Cardinal gives Widimer poison and instructs him to give it to Dogtanian in a bottle of wine. Rochefort sends a message warning of the danger and challenging Dogtanian to a duel. When Widimer arrives, Dogtanian pretends to be unaware of the trick and insists that Widimer drink a toast with him. The terrified Captain admits it's poison and leaves in disgrace. After contemplating suicide, he decides to abandon the service of the Cardinal and be a free man... With a push of the play button I was taken back to Saturday mornings a long, long time ago, when my only worry was getting up in time for lunch and not missing Dogtanian before meeting up with the lads in the pub, obviously I never owned up to my secret viewing, but now I can enjoy the memories without the worry, What fun!

Great storylines, commentary and diverse use of language. Seems infinitely better than the drivel that passes for children's entertainment on some of the multi-channels. And the kids (4 & 6) love it!

Dogtanion Review
Bought this for my kids and it took me back to my childhood. It's still a great story and really good value for the amount of DVD for the price.
