If you are an experienced archer and want to take things to the next level then this is the book for you. It builds perfectly on the books that cover the basics (such as Simon's excellent 'The Art of Repetition'). Other books of this type tend to assume that everyone has a full range with world-class coaches on hand at all times but this is much more down to earth (with top tips on shooting in the house or garage).
The interviews with some of the world's best archers are excellent and an eye opener into just how much effort you need to put in to shoot at that level.
If you're out to win Olympic gold or just out to make the County Team then this book is essential kit.

Really good book if you are keen to understand and experiment with the technical side of getting the most out of your recurve bow

I have used his first book "The art of repitition" as my bible to get to first class and really wanted this book. The publication date was pushed back time and time again and then It came out. I guess if you want to compete at the Olympics its of value but for the club archer its of limited use. The lesson seems to be that you have to dedicate your whole life to the goal and Its not what I want from Archery. His first book has helped me so much and when I have problems I go back to it but this one, apart from other archers comments, is a bit of a dud. Sorry Simon.
