An absolutely stunning book. This being my first Pratchett book I did not know what to expect. I was wonderfully surprised! Rincewind and Twoflower are two of the best characters in any of the books i have read. I would certainly recommend it to absolutely anyone. If you have a sense of humour then don't waste it on anything else and if you don't have a sense of humour, FIND ONE!!

go get it! The Color Of Magic is one of the best books I've ever read, including Lord Of The Rings, The Neverending Story and stuff. And there is no one in the world that can make me laugh as well as Terry Pratchett. Read Mort, also. and Soul Music. And all The others!
5.0 out of 5 stars Completely hilarious. Fantastic. Amazing. I LOVE it!!!!!! 16 Mar 1998

If I could, I'd rate it a twenty. The main character, Rincewind (BMcg Unseen University, failed.),is the guide to the first tourist in the history of the Discworld, who is from a place that everybody except deranged seamen and people considered to be complete lunatics ever believed in. The Counterweight Continent. Rincewind, being Ankh-Morporkian and fluent in almost every language on the disc(including Black Oroogu, the language with no nouns and only one adjective, which is obscene),can only speak to him in heathen Trob. This book is hilarious, and I highly advise you to either buy or read(or both) this book!
