I understand that Mr Sewell was in the Navy, and in true seafaring traditions he certainly knows how to spin a yarn. Take two adventurers, who have been friends for a very long time. Give them a task to retrieve something that is difficult to get to. Oh, did I also say that it was also dangerous. Throw in a few bad guys, and a little bit of intrigue, and you have The Collectors, the first volume of a series. I look forward to volume 2 which is due sometime in June.

Excellent first episode in a new series of books from Ron Sewell. Well written and researched. Since I live in Cyprus I was impressed by his knowledge of the Island. Characters well rounded and believable. Looking forward to the next episode. Well don Ron. P.S. His other works are also excellent reads.

I did find the early part of the story line a little disjointed which is why I didn't give the book 5 stars but Ron Sewell takes us on a rollicking journey with his two main characters, PK and Bear, forever bickering with humourous dialogue but delivering the goods. There is more than a whiff of brine to Ron sewell's books, his knowledge of seamanship shines through as does his love of Cyprus and its people.
