Once again, Michael N has done it. I haven't seen the film yet, but if it's anything like as good as this, it'll be a classic. Nyman manages to combine his Greenaway stylings (repetition, aggressive harmonies) with a more orchestral bent, reminiscent of John Barry or Ennio Morricone. Standout tracks include 'The Shoot-Out', 'The Fiery House' and 'The Exchange'. This CD is well worth buying

I love Nyman being Morricone-esque! Great soundrack, not as good as Wonderland's, but still one of my favourite.

This is truly a wonderful uplifting and spiritually moving album. Like Nyman's Greenaway soundtracks there is a sense of another time, another place. The album accompanies a moody, rainy Sunday afternoon or a quite evening. The music is reflective and sombre, it'll take you to that other time, that other place.
