Book Description

Sep 2003
Sir Richard Francis Burton was perhaps the most colorful British explorer of the 19th century. In 1860 he left England and his fiance to explore the American West and visit the Mormons. His descriptions of the land and people are better than photographs. Lively, detailed, and highly entertaining, The City of the Saints is a wonderful report.

Very good service and copy in excellent shape. Since they want twenty words to fill in the rest of the review you have this.

3.0 out of 5 stars Very academic 17 Oct 2009

This is a bit to academic and the language is hard to follow. Of course what do you expect with such a huge cultural and educational gap between he and I? I may finish it eventually.
