The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe is a definitive action adventure based on the Walt Disney Pictures and Walden Media film capturing the renowned and beloved book series from author C.S. Lewis.

Players enter the world of Narnia, a land frozen in eternal winter by the evil powers of the malevolent and evil White Witch. In order to end this frigid captivity and free his people, the mighty lion Aslan, true ruler of Narnia, invokes an ancient prophecy. It will become the destiny of four young siblings from our world: Peter, Susan, Edmund and Lucy Pevensie to work together and use their unique combat skills, weaponry and abilities to defeat the Witch and her armies and save Narnia. These four unlikely heroes must battle the evil forces of the White Witch by waging war against a vast variety of creatures, including Centaurs, Minotaurs, Minoboars, Cyclops, Werewolves, Wraiths, Ankleslicers, Wolves, Satyrs, Boggles and more.

4.0 out of 5 stars Money well spent 25 Jan. 2006
Platform for Display:PlayStation2
There are two main features that set this game apart from most play station fodder: firstly, its relies heavily on inter-character cooperation to enhance individual skills and abilities; secondly, it is a much more thoughtful enterprise than the usual “smash and blast ‘em” - sure, there are fights and excitement aplently but you also have to hide, run and use artefacts or simple brain power to work your way through the various levels. The relationship of the game to either film or book is sometimes slightly tenuous but it is probably just gripping enough for disbelief to be willingly suspended. The graphics are good and the 3-D perspective easy to use. Split screen is not an option, so the characters have to stick together and swapping between them (as you will need to do to solve various predicaments) can be a little confusing at first as can harnessing the growing skill levels, artefacts and weapons possessed by Peter, Susan, Edmund and Lucy: this is a game where is it ESSENTIAL that you read the instruction booklet before you start!
After two weeks, we are still getting fun from it and have decided it is best played with dual controllers, sibling/sibling or parent/sprog both work well (even if the parents keep mucking up occasionally). The target age range seems to be 8-12; 14+ might find it a little simple (until they’ve reached second childhood), but that is in keeping with book and film. Although heavily illustrated with film clips with which the game synchs well, it is better for being familiar with the story although this is not essential to the completion, it does add to the fun. Overall, money well spent!

4.0 out of 5 stars EXCELLENT GAME!!!BUT MAYBE TO EASY! 31 Dec. 2005

This game allows you to have hours of fun!Especially in multiplayer mode. You can play as either Peter,Susan,Lucy and Edmund. The gameplay does go fast but you won't get bored! The game also has special features like an interview with Peter and the other characters. This game is very fun but if your playing with a friend in multiplayer mode it can be quite easy. But all in all this is a game worth buying.

4.0 out of 5 stars A Great Game! 28 Jan. 2006

The Chronicles of Narnia - The Lion The Witch & The Wardrobe is a game definitely worth buying. The effects are very good and unlike many Playstation games the makers have combined the levels with clips from the actual film. Many of the levels are challenging and it may take a while to get past a particularly difficult creature but it is definitely worth it. The characters can team up to perform special attacks and collecting coins allows you to unlock special moves for Edmund, Peter, Susan and Lucy.
For me one of the many positives of this game is the fact that if you are stuck on a particular level you can always have a friend play one of the other characters making a level that much easier to complete and much more enjoyable - a must have.

Bought this for my daughters aged 8 and 5 and some parts of it were a bit much for them so I was often asked to help out in order to complete the level. I would say it's suitable to anyone of about 10 years old and above. Pretty good game though.

5.0 out of 5 stars GREAT GAME 3 Jan. 2006
Platform for Display:PlayStation2
I loved the game, Chronicles of Narnia The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe. The game is challenging but I managed. The game is based on the movie and book (which I loved!!!) and I recommend it to everyone!! There are about 11 levels and each one gets you closer to the top of the wardrobe where you battle the white witch. Remember to take your time in this game and really pay attention to all the directions, it may get confuseing. And Remember to see the movie.. I've seen it 3 times and still wanna go see it again!!!

Fun: 5.0 out of 5 stars
I strongly recommend this game, whether you have seen the film or not.

It is very addicting, and even after you finish, you want to continue to fully complete the game. It is hard enough to keep you entertained, but easy enough to stop you wanting to through it through a window.

I strongly recommend this game
