All seven stories from The Chronicles of Narnia together in one slipcase. The illustrations in these books have been coloured by the original artist, Paulinbe Baynes. The slipcase uses 2 covers from the original designs by Pauline Baynes.
The Narnia Chronicles, first published in 1950, have been and remain some of the most enduringly popular ever published. The best known, the Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe, has been translated into 29 languages!
Journeys to the end of the world, fantastic creatures, and epic battles between good and evil – what more could any reader ask for in one book? That book was 'The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe,' written in 1949 by Clive Staples Lewis. But Lewis did not stop there. Six more books followed and together they became known as 'The Chronicles of Narnia.'
For the past fifty years, 'The Chronicles of Narnia' have transcended the fantasy genre to become part of the canon of classic literature. Each of the seven books is a masterpiece, drawing the reader into a world where magic meets reality and the result is a fictional world whose scope has fascinated generations.
This edition presents all seven unabridged books in one impressive volume. The books are presented here according to Lewis' preferred order, each chapter graced with an illustration by the books' original artist, Pauline Baynes. Deceptively simple and direct, 'The Chronicles of Narnia' continue to captivate fans with adventures, characters, and truths that speak to readers of all ages, even fifty years after they were first published.
"Like his fellow genius, Tolkien, C. S. Lewis has redefined the nature of fantasy, adding richness, beauty, and dimension… In our times, every fantasy realm must be measured in comparison with Narnia."
LLOYD ALEXANDER

The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe (the second book in the series in reading order) is considered as the most popular book in the series but to be honest I find it impossible to decide which one is my personal favourite. It changes all the time for the books, while all generously sprinkled with CS Lewis' magic, will leave you spellbound in different ways.
For example, The Lion the Witch and the Wardrobe, is your traditional fairy story while The Horse and His Boy has all the intrigue and mystery of the tales from the Arabian Nights. The Voyage of the Dawn Treader reminds me of the adventures of Sinbad and Oddyseus and The Silver Chair is a treat if you like reading about heroes deciphering prophecies and fighting monsters to fulfill their quest. In Prince Caspian, we read about a boy fighting for his birthright and The Magician's Nephew tells of the creation of Narnia (with a slight twist on the forbidden apple story!). The Last Battle provides a deeply moving end to the series that will leave you wanting to read the entire series all over again.
All in all, this is a nicely packaged collection that generations can treasure for a very reasonable price. So treat yourself - buy this set and rediscover the magical land of Narnia!
