I'm a big fan of Robert Sabuda's books - his pop-ups are always amazing! This book was a little disappointing though. Don't get me wrong; the pop ups are indeed breathtaking but they just don't work properly! The pop up mechanisms on three of the seven pages got stuck both when opening and then when closing the book: this was so bad that you would manually have to hold parts of the pop-up in place if you wanted to turn over the page - this would be frustrating for any adult and probably impossible for a child. I don't know if this is a design flaw in all the Narnia books or if this was just part of a bad batch but if you order one and this happens, please send it back!

Also, just wanted to point out that this is not a storybook version or film tie-in for The Lion, Witch and the Wardrobe/Narnia - the book actually documents the whole Narnia series over the seven pages starting with The Lion, Witch and the Wardrobe on the first page.

Overall a good book for fans of the Narnia series with lots of imaginative grande pop-ups but this is unfortunately overidden by the fact that the pop-up mechanisms just don't work properly! What a shame.

It is OK, but these are just pop ups to look at, there is almost no text, so there is not a book that you can read to a child. Also, as these are pop ups illustrating different books, there is no story to tell. While the pop ups are amazing to look at, I would prefer if they were illustrating one particular book and you could use them to tell a story.

Utterly brilliant. The full CS Lewis adventure, shortened into a fabulous pop up book. I bought this on a whim just after my daughter was born. The pop up engineering is so clever though, its more an adults book. I occasionally pop up to the nursery bookshelf and leaf through this book on my own just to watch the pop ups pop up and fold up. It is a work of genius.

The text is way too abridged to be useful as a story book, but as a starting point to tell children your own stories its great.
