Product Description

Christmas is a time for giving - what do you do when no one gives a damn?

For Zachary Weston Christmas means sleeping on a churchyard bench in the freezing snow with nothing better in his future. Thrown out of his home for being gay, he is left without money or, it seems, anywhere to go.

Until a stranger shows him that some people do give a lot more than a damn.

Ben Hamilton is a rookie cop in his small home town. He finds a young throwaway, fresh from the city, sleeping on a bench in the churchyard on a snowy Christmas Eve. Can he be the one to give Zachary his own Christmas miracle?

She has been writing since age six, when she was made to stay in at lunchtime for an infraction involving cookies and was told to write a story. Two sides of A4 about a trapped princess later, a lover of writing was born. She loves reading anything from thrillers to sci-fi to horror; however, her first real love will always be the world of romance. Her goal is to write stories with a heart of romance, a troubled road to reach happiness, and more than a hint of happily ever after.

5.0 out of 5 stars Feel Good Love Story 16 May 2011
By Simon
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
Ok, yes, this is an easy read, but sometimes that's all you want. It's well written, the story is great and you can read it in an afternoon. Sometimes all you want is a feel-good love story, where everything seems to go right for once. Really enjoyed it. Made me cry.

5.0 out of 5 stars Delightful! 20 Feb 2013
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
Want to spend some happy hours lost in a story of love overcoming obstacles and deep parental rejection?... Then the Christmas Throwaway is a really good offer! The story rings very true, concern turns to attraction and onto love.... with a good dose of responsibility..... The intense parental rejection is very real as is the moden day 'Samaritan'. Well worth buying... well worth sharing. R.J.Scott is to be congratulated for crafting so positive and delightful a love story.

5.0 out of 5 stars Feel good story 22 July 2013
By T ann
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
This is a great book- the sort you can read when you need that feel good story. It's about a 17 year old thrown out for being gay and the guy who finds him and helps him. It's a lovely story and nothing inappropriate - they don't get together until he's a year or more older. The family and friends are great and supportive and you just can't help but like both zach and Ben and cheer for their happy ending

5.0 out of 5 stars Feel-good, heart-felt love story. 9 May 2013
Format:Kindle Edition
A book I chose in a rush, with several others, for reading material whilst at hospital, for a few days, with my youngest daughter. What I discovered was a touching love story with instantly believable characters. Having finished the book in one sitting I will now be looking for more by the same author...

3.0 out of 5 stars Bit of a let-down 5 May 2013
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
I thought this book started off well - I downloaded a sample and bought the book on the strength of it. However, I found myself from about halfway through wondering 'when does the plot happen?'

The book seemed to become increasingly formulaic as it went on. I felt I could hear the author planning; we'll put a bj on page X and a sex scene on page X +12...

I would have liked the book to contain more interest than the continual repetition of the protagonist's concern for his sister. The delaying tactics used to drag out that issue to the end of the book seemed a little contrived.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great Story. 16 Feb 2013
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
I really enjoyed this book but thought there could have been a bit more. It seemed to skip forward just a bit too quick.
I hope the auther will do a follow up story about the same characters. Well worth the read though.
