Another excellent 'Christmas-time' read-with-me story from author/illustrator, Ian Beck, who relates a lovely version of the Nativity.
Simply told with sufficient text to keep the interest, accompanied by beautiful illustrations.
From the back cover:-
'High above the stable the night sky was filled with angels, who gave thanks to God and welcomed the new baby with their beautiful music.'
Measuring in around 26.5 cm x 22 cm, the pastel paperback covers open to 28 high quality shiny pages, beginning with:-

I bought this book as my two year old has begun to take a large interest in Christmas. I wanted to teach her the story of baby Jesus, so it's not all about Father Christmas and Presents!
We both have really enjoyed reading this book (all twelve times!!). There are some lovely pictures to go along with the story, It picks up on the key points so it is not too long and keeps you interested all the way through.
I would recommend this to anyone who has small children as a first book of the Nativity.

I was looking for a Christmas story to read to my daughter so that she grows up understanding the true meaning of Christmas. After one wrong turn, I found this book and I've been delighted. It tells the story beautifully, with gorgeous detailed pictures, and covers the important elements of the story. Highly recommended.

Ideal for the target age group
