Just one word of warning to potential purchasers of this DVD - it's a rerelease of a DVD that originally came out in 1997. It's not bad, but the Rieu `style` has developed a lot since then - this is a comparatively serious affair, with a much smaller Johann Strauss Orchestra than today. Recent converts would do much better by buying a copy of his `Christmas Around the World` DVD - it's much more fun!

Andre has done it again. The man with the 'golden violin' truly brings the magic of Christmas into your home with this wonderful DVD. As with all Andre's performances this fantastic collection of both well known favourites and new musical Christmas piece are performed to the up most standard. A must not not only for Andre fans but for all those who love the spirit of Christmas.

Andre Rieu and The Johann Strauss Orchestra have so many releases out it's hard to know where to begin.The great thing about his CD's and DVD's are that they are consistently very good, but do appear on many different labels, and some much older than otheres, the one thing you notice is just how many DVD's are now available from this very fine orchestra. So to this release, recorded in 1994 as a one hour long Christas Special, and now available on DVD for the first time.It's not in a concert surrounding, much recorded in a large stable, and Andre giving us insights to his own upbringing and Christmas in particular. The music a mixture of the well known things like 'Jingle Bells' and 'White Christmas' through carols such as 'O Come All Ye Faithful','Silent Night', 'From Heaven High I Come To You', 'O Sweet Child Jesus' and 'The Little Drummer Boy'.Overall we get a generous twenty seven pieces of seasonal music beautifully played. This is Andre Rieu's Christmas and it's a pure delight.His popularity continues to grow and this is a very welcome and enjoyable release that will light up your whole Christmas season. A very good price to for one hours worth of music to lift the season !.

Happy muscial Christmas
Andre and his orchestra come up trumps again. The warmth and beautiful music give you a Christmas glow. The setting in a barn is perfect.

Disappointed
i was disappointed with this DVD not a very Happy Christmas Dvd but would be more suitable for a serious or quiet Christmas.

Although this isn't like the usual Andre Rieu DVDs, I found it enjoyable. It was not the usual lively concert but is more serious and very Christmassy. I really enjoyed it.
