A thoroughly heartwarming and entertaining series. Choirmaster Gareth Malone moulds a ragtag, unmotivated, yet high spirited bunch of school children from untrained singers with no interest in classical music into an unlikley choir capable of performing in the World Choir Games in China.

Amazon Verified Purchase
Having watched this when it was shown on BBC 2, I couldn't wait for the DVD to be released as it is, quite simply, a wonder to behold. Gareth Malone was born to be a teacher. The way he inspired this group of young people to join his choir was a joy. He gave them confidence in themselves and a belief that they could achieve what they thought was impossible. Let's face it, choirs and teenagers are two words you don't often find in the same sentence, but Gareth seemed able to make the impossible happen.
If you haven't seen this series then I would urge you to buy it. It'll have you laughing, cheering and even, on occasion, filling up with tears of happiness.
The BBC have discovered a star in Gareth for which we should all be grateful.

Gareth Malone deserves recognition for the amazing work he has done amongst all sorts of people, people who didn't think they had an ability, who after spending time with him found they could do anything! great and inspirational DVD

The Choir DVD
This was sent abroad as a present to my parents. It arrived very quickly and before Christmas. They are delighted with the DVD and found it very inspiring.
