CD Description

The Chillout Session is the essential guide to the very best laidback classics featuring some of the most recognisable hits of 2012 to smooth house anthems. CD1 focuses on chart artists, all of whom have produced internationally acclaimed hits, including Gotye, Florence & The Machine, Lana Del Ray, Jessie J, Ellie Goulding, Emeli Sande and Ben Howard. CD2 contains a collection of some of the greatest chilled house beats to date, from the likes of Deadmau5, Eric Prydz, Faithless, Roger Sanchez and Delerium, while CD3 immerses you in the super smooth, spaced-out sounds of Royksopp, William Orbit, Lemon Jelly, Zero 7 and Groove Armada.

2.0 out of 5 stars Not very flowing for chillout 14 Aug 2012
Amazon Verified Purchase
I have to agree with the other review and to question the chillout? CD 1 starts off really slow and Lana del Rey finishes slow to the kick in and up beat sound of Emeli Sande heaven, now that is not chill out. I love Lana and Emeli but not in that order when I'm chilling. It is a mishmash of slow, fast and trying to be chill out songs so I would never call this a chill out CD, just a CD of music put in any old order. Even if they had ordered the songs from either fast to slow to get the rhythm flowing down to a chill or slow to fast so you start of chilled to up beat. Would not recommend. 2 stars as I do not hate the music, I would listen to all the songs on the CD, the CD is just not what it is marketed as or in tempo order.

I've bought a lot of these MoS discs for the car - heard most of these tracks before on previous ones and a lot of them are far from chilled!

3.0 out of 5 stars Chill out? 12 Aug 2012
By simon
We are not sure if the is chill out or bad pop music. CD 2 is great, the kind of chill out lounge music we were expecting. CD1 is terrible, and CD 3 is slow to get going. Not sure I would have bought this. Pretty disapointed with the Ministry of Sound on this one!
