Welcome Back 12 Sep 2003
Format:Audio CD
I'd heard talk of a "new direction" for TMTCH. Not on the evidence here. What you get is what you akways have; well crafted songs with lyrics that rise above 99% of those you will hear on any other album released this year. As always there are the slower acoustic numbers (Colwyn Bay) which are as good as anything else I've heard from them (excepting perhaps "Parted From You" off How Green..). Rockier tracks include Ride Again which is quite simply excellent. They've been away far too long. Welcome back!!

I sat down in the early 90's to utter rubbish played by my boss on the works stereo, then he put on TMTCH! The sound is a mix of pop, folk and rock. Gritty and worded like a flowing, melting shakesperian tongue crafting into sublime beauty.

This album is just as good as the materpiece 'Waiting for Bonaparte'.

If you've never heard of this band then buy this and the one mentioned above and it won't come out of your machine for a very, very long time!!!

So glad they are back 9 April 2008

If you hear punk/irish folk fusion, you probably think of the Pogues or Dropkick Murphys. However, TMTCH have been around since the 80s and they have released many excellent albums. While they are usually closer to Irish Folk than Punk, this one displays a bit of a harder sound for the guys.
"Summer of Hate" is a true punk classic. 1-2-3-4 !
