Product Description

Product Description

A satirical novella about the British underclass, Contact! describes Gregory Black's violent attempts to 'improve' the British population with knife, hammer and bullet. Follow him as he attacks stray chavs, feral gangs and whole housing estates, moving ever closer towards a violent conclusion that almost defies imagination:

So here I am. Primed and ready. A knight of truth and justice. Trained. Fit. Determined. The Chav Killer is going out on the prowl.

I hear them. You can hear them from miles away. People with low intelligence substitute volume for reason. Ugly, guttural laughter, always at someone else’s expense. Speech barked at speed. Ugh-ugh-numba-ugh. Orc talk.

I check the sights on my rifle. The cross-hairs scour the sodium-lit streets, my hunting-ground. I feel like a lion. A leopard. Something deadly. A Chav Killer.

This is the first book in the famous Chav Killer Trilogy. The Trilogy is also available on Kindle and can be acquired here:

5.0 out of 5 stars well worth a read 24 Jun 2012

i loved this just a shame it was so short, i think a lot of people could relate to this book i know i did.

i would like to see a sequal to this book. perhaps he returns to england under a new identity to avenge the killing of his mother, maybe he could have some extra help in the form of some new underground accomplaces he has trained. who knows but i sure would like to see a follow on from this.

4.0 out of 5 stars The Chav Killer 23 Jun 2012
By Elena
Format:Kindle Edition
It's unclear whether this is a serious narrative or a satirical swipe at the extreme right. While the violence described is brutal, the author has a very readable style with flashes of dark humour. I hadn't realised how many prominent British intellectuals believed in eugenics. I thought it was invented by the Nazis so it's disturbing that such famous figures as Marie Stopes, George Bernard Shaw and Aldous Huxley believed in the sterilisation of the 'unfit'. Some present day academics and politicians probably still retain such beliefs.

While 'The Chav Killer' is thought provoking and well written, it isn't for the squeamish. Americans who want to understand the British class system and 'chavs' would find it interesting.

1.0 out of 5 stars Awful 6 April 2013
By Kim

I 'purchased' this when it was at £0.00, and glad I didn't pay a penny for it! The story is lacklustre, and the title gives it away, a guy killing chavs. The killing isn't detailed or imaginative, and the fantasies that the author divulges in are just plain ridiculous. And this review is coming from a 'mosher' who are renown for hating chavs.

A really gripping story in which you will recognise many of the victims. I've thrown my track suit and trainers in the bin. More please. Thank you.

It was a shame the book was so short but I enjoyed it nonetheless. Interesting concept for a story which I believe made it better to read. Would recommend.

4.0 out of 5 stars A "Killer" Read....shame it wasn't longer. 13 Dec 2012

I very much enjoyed The Chav Killer. I felt that the style and tone reminded me somewhat of one of my all time favourite books, American Psycho. Gregory Black, the Chav Killer, is a complex and interesting character, and the violence is described graphically - not for the faint hearted but it's called the Chav Killer, it was hardly going to be tame! I like the dark humour of the writing as well and I shall be picking up part two as soon as I get through my current backlog of Kindle books. Would have been an easy five stars if it had been a bit longer!

2.0 out of 5 stars A culture to kill and die for? 25 Jun 2012
By Geraldo
Format:Kindle Edition|Amazon Verified Purchase
It's brilliantly written but I don't like it because it could fall into the wrong hands. Superficially, it could be read as yet another contribution to the demonisation of the working class. Fortunately, the author has tongue in cheek and presents the killer without a single redeeming feature. He's a psychopath sicker than any of his victims.John Keene digs deep into the psychopathology and produces a deeply disturbing picture. Even though I don't like it it should be read as a salutory reminder of how fine the line is between mental health and sickness, hatred and compassion. "Millions see you as a folk hero" writes Greg Black's sister in the Eplilogue.Let's hope no one does and recognises the bitter irony in this remarkable offering.

Like a bad ripoff of American Psycho and too predictable for me to recommend to others. GLAD I didn't pay to waste an hour of my life!
