5.0 out of 5 stars NOT JUST A POEM BOOK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! 6 Nov 2000
By A Customer
Format:Hardcover
This book is jam-packed with full colour drawings by Charles Bronson. Many of his drawings have helped raise thousands of pounds for charity and now you have a chance to see for yourself what really lies beneath the hard exteror of the UK's hardest man and classed as the most dangerous criminal. Don't mistake the word 'poetry' to mean this book is for softies...far from it. Some of the illustrations are quite graphic and therefore maybe it should be classed as an adult humour book. Try it - for a hardback colour book this is a bargain.

5.0 out of 5 stars 24 years solitary but still so talented 19 Jan 2001
By A Customer
Format:Hardcover
What can I say. Steve Richards (who put this book together) dropped a copy of this off to me the other day. I would never have thought about buying a book like this but I had a little look through. It's amazing. It's very important to try and see things how Charlie does and believe me it's scary! For all you crime fans who think poetry and art is "soft" give this a read.

5.0 out of 5 stars Bronson 21 Jan 2014
Format:Hardcover
Excellent book, Charles Bronson's first book its a mix of art and poetry near 80 pages, expressing his feeling though his art and poems and showing his talent as a artist and his poems mostly based about prison as that's where he has most of his life, recommend this book.

4.0 out of 5 stars Thoughts on mental health 17 Mar 2013
Format:Hardcover
This is a 'must read'.Widen your view of the world of prison. Strange, incredible and sad. A talented and unique individual who seems to have had his mental health wrecked further by his time behind bars. I thought prison was about rehab? What about treatment for good mental health? The drawings are graphic and thought provoking and strangely beautiful. The Charles Bronson Book of Poems: Birdman Opens His Mind Bk. 1
