Foul Ball! 11 Dec 2011
Format:Kindle Edition|Amazon Verified Purchase
As with all my reviews I try to balance what I paid for the book against the satisfaction gained.
Fortunately when I downloaded this it was free. I would not have been a happy bunny if I had paid for it having read it.
I love basbeball and an mystery adventure sci-fi book so the synopsis ticked all the boxes.
Unfortunately the synopsis is better than the book.
Admittedly its a short story but the premises of the story is very good (hence the 2 stars) but is one that cannot be satisfactorily wrapped up in a short story and still engage the reader and leave them enthralled, to be honest I was just glad to get to the end of it.
Whether its free when you read this or not I would not bother

I just finished reading "The Chambliss Tapes". I read it in my lunch hour which tells you just how short the story is!

Very, very interesting premise of time travel for sporting posterity sake that left me feeling a bit disappointed that the author did not make more of this wonderfully simple idea and spin a longer novel out of it.

Still this is what we have and it is a nice tight compact story that had my imagination firing and got me though a boring lunch hour. When we also consider that it was free it is not so bad at all!

Not bad 28 Oct 2011

An enjoyable quick read, lots of "holes" in the story and entirely wrapped up too easy and conveniantly... but I did enjoy it.
