"If you love thrillers, this is your ticket!" - SciFiGuy reviews

SUMMARY:
On November 23rd, scientists at CERN in Geneva, Switzerland ran a short test on the newly completed Large Hadron Collider. For that brief period, protons swarmed back and forth along the seventeen miles of carefully constructed tunnel and slammed into each other with devastating force, generating power the likes of which had not been seen since the moment of the Big Bang.

Just a few short hours.

That was all it took for our world to be invaded.

My name is Captain Memphis Stone, commander of the Hellstalkers, the armed response unit hastily assembled to face this growing threat.

This is the story of the men and women under my command, those who stand in the gap and shed their blood to protect the rest of humanity from creatures that we never imagined we’d ever face, not even in our darkest dreams.

Welcome to the front lines.

(NOTE: This is a sneak peek release, containing just the first three chapters. The full release will be available just before Christmas)

5.0 out of 5 stars A Fantastic STory. 9 Feb 2012
By dean s
Format:Kindle Edition
This is a excellent story as the first in the set of HELLstalkers books and if it goes on as this one started then readers are in for an amazing journey.
The story is based around an explosion at the Large Hydron Collider in Geneva which in turn causes rifts which in time disgusting monsters will come through. And the stories lead character Memphis Stone puts a team of fighters together called the HELLstalkers to deal with them.
This is a well written book with loads of adventure action and sci-fi in it which made me not want to put it down. Although you only learnt a bit about the characters this hopefully will lead into the following books where we will learn more.
I would say to anybody to pick this up and give it a read the authors have done a fab job.
Lets hope the next one isnt too far away 5 stars from me.

5.0 out of 5 stars A HELL of a ride! 26 Jan 2012
By Gabriel Hoskins Jr. - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Kindle Edition
I really enjoyed this introduction to the HELLstalkers universe. The action/horror/sci-fi all blended together very well. The characters we're likeable and the story moves along at a great pace.

A few typos were evident, the worst being in chapter 16. Where it should read 'than absolutely necessary' it reads 'thanely olut absnecessary'. It also had few misused words, 'grown' instead of 'groan' for example. The errors did not affect my enjoyment of the story.

I'm looking forward to future adventures of the HELLstalkers and I highly recommend it to action, sci-fi, and horror fans.

*Update*
I have been informed by the author that a revised version has been uploaded with the errors corrected.

2.0 out of 5 stars Meh, don't waste your time. 20 Feb 2013

Mediocre character development, which leads to cookie cutter single dimension characters. A demonstrated LACK of military knowledge, which in a military/horror thriller is inexcusable; please, use Wikipedia and do at least 5 minutes of research. Example: standard grenade launchers are single-shot, not 5-shot semi-autos. A "Gunnery Sergeant" is a USMC rank, not US Army, they are also not Master Sergeants, unless they are Master Gunnery Sgts...and if a lowly captain calls an E-9 "Gunny", there will be a conversation the captain will not enjoy.
Fast paced plotting doesn't distract from shallow writing and "unlimited funding=breaking the time lines of physics" plot crutches. Good for kids who want Call of Duty mixed with pseudo-Lovecraftian "horror" without the whole actual "tension" thing.

3.0 out of 5 stars Too Short 26 April 2012

This book is too short and does not develope characters. It is designed just to give you a taste of what may follow. However, at this time there is nothing in the works to follow up. Disappointing.

5.0 out of 5 stars HELLstalkers storms into the picture 28 Jan 2012
By L. E. Langston - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Kindle Edition
This book reminds me of the Mack Bolen series. It is fast, fun and a great start to what I hope to be an ongoing series of incredible Sci-Fi books! The premise to the story is that there has always been small rifts between our dimensions and others and that the testing of the Large Hadron Collider has caused an instability between this world and something else. The HELLstalkers is a team of highly trained individuals that are sent in to deal with these rifts that are now opening around the world.

In this, the first of the series, the team is assembled and you get to know the team that is going to be the core of this Organization. A great read and more fun than I could have hoped for it to be!

5.0 out of 5 stars Out of the gates! 29 Jan 2012
By Seth Pollock - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Kindle Edition
Highly enjoyed this book. The story is fast paced, interesting, and action packed. The characters have well defined personalities though I wish the author had let me get to know them better, but this gives me more incentive to look forward to the comming novels. By far my favorite character is Ulf, a german spec ops that talks like a hippie just cracks me up. THe only downside I find is the lack of description to the actions and events the characters experience and encounter, then again I am one to very much enjoy a blow by blow account of almsot everything when it comes to a book.
I highly recommend this for anyone looking for something to go through in one sitting as I couldn't stop reading until I reached the end.
