Product Description

Purrfect tales about fab furry felines from celebrated author Linda Newbery.Rose has a black and white cat called Smudge-Face. Her next-door neighbour, Wilfred, has a black and white cat called Fungus. However, what neither of them realize is that this is the same cat, enjoying double the meals and double the attention at two different houses, by slipping through a hole in the garden fence. But when the cat with two names is accidentally shut inside another neighbour's garage, both Rose and Wilfred set out looking for their missing pet and it isn't long before they meet each other..."Curl up with Cats Tales", is a charming collection of stand-alone stories, at turns magical, mysterious, comic, and touching.

When Tom makes a cat of ice and snow it comes to life at night, roaming the streets prowling through his dreams and somehow embodying Tom's worries. Linda Newbery knows cats very well and describes them accurately. Her cats are always real, but there's an intriguing mystery at the heart of Ice Cat as there is in all the stories in this enchanting series.

The cats owners left without cat! He then forgets his name. The new owners of the house didn't want cat. The cat lives feral for a while, then gets befriended by Rose. This is good. Cat is named Smudge. But Rose is visited by children who will not let Smudge sleep, although he is grateful for the games. So he finds Wilfred, who calls him Fungus and will let him sleep. So far so good, from no homes to two homes. Then we have some more plot and, unlike Six Dinner Sid, (Inga Moore), he is only allowed one home. Easy to read story, but I think Inga gets the better moral of the story prize.
