The prince wakes Sleeping Beauty with a kiss and there's a royal wedding to plan. But the prince is terrified of spiders, and after a hundred years, there are a lot of spiders to deal with. Paeony Lewis has continued the Sleeping Beauty tale with humor and twists. Who would have thought that the prince who was courageous enough to seek her out would run at the sight of a spider? This sets up for a fun tale that all children can enjoy. So if your child is asks, "just what does happily ever after mean?" you will want to be sure to share this book with them. You both will enjoy the next part of this fairy tale and who knows...maybe you'll even cheer for the spiders;)

My children love this book. Their favourite part is when the princess wakes up and says 'Guards arrest this man!'
If your children love spiders, this is the book you have been looking for. A great twist to the familiar fairytale.
Suitable for all ages.

What a delightful tale! If you have ever wondered just what it happened to Sleeping Beauty after the prince showed up, this is the story for you. Your child will be delighted by the scaredy-cat prince, the conniving spiders, and the happily ever after ending. Lewis has a real flair with fairy tales. Her other Shooting Star book, Cinderella's wedding is a delight as well.
