This is an excellent reference book for the serious carriage clock restorer. Laurie Penman (as usual) gives many good tips to avoid serious mistakes. Unfortunately he has been let down to some extent by some editing errors which may confuse the inexperienced reader. Hopefully these errors will be corrected if there is to be a second edition.

well written, useful book, a boon to people trying to learn the art of of restoring sometimes quite complicated movements. would possibly benefit from a more up to date edition, with a current list of clock part suppliers.
