Review

Turn your road trip into a culinary experience. Quite simply, this book is destined to reach camper van bible status... Ideal for families, singlies, foodies, festival-goers and outdoor lovers - you'd have to have a screw loose not to love this book. -- adventure-cornwall.co.uk 20100510 His charmingly eccentric account of life on the road, one delicious recipe at a time, is set to become a modern outdoor classic... it occurs to me that Martin, who pulses with energy and Boy's Own enthusiasm, was made for television. Perhaps he could be sponsored by the British Tourist Authority, as he leads viewers down highways and byways to soak up the scenic beauty - while feasting on breakfast frittata with bacon. Many of the recipes would work just as well for a 'tented' camping holiday but the vintage wheels lend the whole occasion a certain grooviness. -- YOU Magazine Mail on Sunday 20100510 This is not just a recipe book but a hugely practical, funny, inspiring introduction to camper van living. A cult book in the making, if I'm not mistaken. -- Fiona Beckett www.foodandwinefinds.blogspot.com 20100530 'Cook up a storm with a delicious outdoor on-the-go lunches and suppers. This is the real deal for those who like to cook in the great outdoors.

The author has a real enthusiasm for his subject which comes across throughout the book. If you're not a surfer, or a camper van owner, don't be put off. As long as you like cooking outdoors and enjoying the great British countryside there will be plenty in this book for you.

I particularly like the sections on foraging around the coastline as it adds a new dimension to the outdoor cookbook.

It also has plenty of ideas for things to do and ways of keeping the kids entertained too. Finally it also has a great section on the 10 best excuses to use when you don't make it to work on Monday, ideal.

Enjoyable, fun, interesting read, beautiful pictures.
Not any cookbook - one for campers/motorhomers.
Food to make before going off camping as well.
Handy tips for people new to camping.
I heard of this from a motorhome magazine review..........hence purchasing this.
Money well spent.
Hopefully be another book sometime???

This is a lovely, well presented book which is an inspiration for anyone wanting to eat al fresco. I can recommend the recipe for bloody marys and the quesadillas - good for a BBQ. The other hints and tips for outdoor living have also been useful - I can vouch that excuse number 3 for why you cannot make it back to work really worked - I will give number 5 a go next week!
