Very political as banned from national service stations in the fifties.
What really went on during conscription - enjoyed it and glad that those days are mostly long gone.
Funny and human.

The most true to life account of the life of an "Ops Clerk" in the RAF that I have ever seen. Just like the author, I was an Ops Clerk and while reading the book I could relate to some of the incidents and saw them happen. Yes, life in the Tower was really like that. National Service in the Royal Air Force during the fifties resulted in meeting good blokes and bad blokes.

I served in Germany at the camp described but not named. I enjoyed this book the first time I read it in the late sixties and was very glad to see it once again for sale.
Thankyou

Missed opportunity to write a good story against the back ground of a fascinating time in British military history and a unique setting [BAOR].
