About the Author

OK, I haven't seen the film but I know Tim's name so I thought that his adaptation was going to be a decent offering. What unfurls is a fairly visual depiction and one that suits the authors writing style down to the ground. The prose is sharp, the description solid and when added to the authors ability to adapt and create a feeling of horror, it's a title that really did hit the spot for me as a reader.
All in a solid release and one that will do the format justice, especially if you like something to scare that you can put down, just remember to leave a gap before turning off that light.

This is a very good adaption of the movie, even down to the "tone" that Goddard and Whedon set in the movie. CitW's is not a simple movie to have to deal with and yet the novelisation does this admirably. I would advise anyone who can't watch "horror" movies but can read them to buy this book.

After watching The Cabin in the Woods, I decided to buy the novel. I was not disappointed, and for once the book/film comparison is the same, although there are several scenes in the book that were not in the film. Basically, I couldn't put the book down, and had I not had to sleep, I would've read it in one sitting. I will definitely be keeping it on my Kindle, and reading it again. Absolutely fantastic.

I was disappointed in the book it was not what I expected though I read it right through I liked the film.
