The first thing I should point out is that I haven't yet ridden the C2C so can't vouch for the accuracy or usefulness of the book "in action".

It's worked for me so far though - and has really helped my research into the ride. It covers all aspects of preparation for the journey and way that is easy to access, and the advice seems to be based on experience. The route section includes mapping for the whole route, along with a written description of the prescribed route and variations for road / mountain bikes.

Clear, informative and helpful guide. Excellent mapping. Good Cicerone editing style. Omits the directory type info in most of the other books.

I bought the Kindle version of the book. The contents were informative and useful in planning the ride. There is useful information about each of the towns and villages the route passes through. I did the ride on a road bike, so the information about which sections aren't really suitable for a road bike was a great help. The maps on the Kindle version aren't zoomable, so are really completely useless. However, I am sure they look fine in the dead tree version and I had the C2C map so it wasn't a problem for me.

If Cicerone fix the problems with the maps on the Kindle version I would give it 5 stars.
