Book Description

The book examines the credit management cycle from the perspectives of the suppliers, the customers and the banks, explaining the interrelationships between all three groups and offering best-practice models that can help to smooth the financial path, particularly when credit flows appear to be drying up.

Product Description

In the best economic circumstances, effective credit management can be a challenge for many businesses; in tough times, it can become a critical operational factor that can threaten to make or break an otherwise healthy business. The Business Guide to Credit Management offers new insights into cash management, payment flows, debt collection and asset-based finance, providing practical advice and commentary for those charged with managing, co-ordinating and protecting their company's finances.

The book examines the credit management cycle from the perspectives of the suppliers, the customers and the banks, explaining the interrelationships between all three groups and offering best-practice models that can help to smooth the financial path, particularly when credit flows appear to be drying up. Whether it is an explanation of government support through various guarantee schemes, to the growing role of credit ratings and debt collection, this new title is the essential handbook for anyone looking to control costs, manage cashflow and protect capital.

The book is full with adverts, 45% - direct adverts and another 30% indirect adverts by authors who were invited to give their opinions. It's a shame that author didn't recognise the value with highest price in Credit Control-HONESTY.
Basically the book promotes financial services offered by the author and "his business friends".
You won't find nothing new it's just different wording to list basic of credit control.
I recommend amazon to do more close review to determine if the text is book or "advert"
IF YOU ARE LOOKING TO READ ADVERTS THIS IS YOUR BOOK, IF YOU ARE LOOKING FOR BOOK WITH UPDATED CREDIT MANAGEMENT TIPS AND NEWS CHECK OTHER BOOKS IN AMAZON.

too many ads! 16 Mar 2012

The book feels like more like an ad brochure on available solution in the UK market rather than a manual. Also the book is too focused on the UK market so it is of a limited use for practicioners in contintental Europe.
