5.0 out of 5 stars Another superb book from Flanagan. 7 Feb 2009
Format:Paperback
The second one in the Ranger's Apprentice series and equally as good as the first. There are strange things afoot in Celtica and Will and his companions go off to investigate. I will say no more as anything will ruin the story! Suffice to say the relationships between the characters are more fully developed, new characters are introduced and the book ends on a wonderful cliffhanger - very frustrating! The language continues to delight and it is a wonderful book to read out loud. Make sure, however, that you do not make a mistake when you buy these books: there are different titles and covers dependent on where the book is published and this can be very confusing and irritating. It is not made clear enough on the Amazon site but if you have a look at Flanagan's Ranger's Apprentice site you will see what I mean. Enjoy this!

5.0 out of 5 stars As great as book 1 17 April 2006
Format:Hardcover
We loved it as much as book one (Australian edition published earlier). This is a great series, loved by mother as much as by son. Fast moving, full of suspense and adventure, trials and triumphs, makes you wish you could really be a part of it.
