As a member of the profession referred to in this book, I found it almost frighteningly relevant to the experiences of myself and colleagues. Behaviour tolerated for years, now exposed as being unacceptable. The authors describe clearly what is meant by the term bullying as many people are unaware that this in fact what they are experiencing. Crucially, very clear advice about how bullying cultures can be changed for the better is imparted. All NHS staff should read this book. It would be relevant for other businesses too.

Thought provoking book, that all midwives should read, so that they can look at their own behaviour and attitudes with colleagues and women alike. Some people may not realise they are actually a bully until they read this book and recognise some of attitudes in it.

Beware Midwives 21 Feb 2009
Format:Paperback
Workplace bullying is a common culture practised by Midwives against junior doctors. Midwives should look at themselves and try to change the BUllying attitude. Every Library and labour suite should have this book placed in the Front. Workplace bullying in NHS is going unnoticed, but NHS should realize that quality of work is affected and would be costing more! it is time that Midwives adn Nurses are trained/revalidated with antibullying courses with human right issues.
