STEPHEN KING ON CHRISTOPHER SMITH:

"Put me down as an enthusiastic Christopher Smith fan. ...Smith is a cultural genius." --STEPHEN KING

DESCRIPTION:
In Christopher Smith's international best-seller BULLIED, the relentlessly bullied 18-year-old Seth Moore is gifted an amulet that ignites within him a wealth of supernatural powers.

If Seth uses the amulet properly, it will protect him from those determined to crush him. But after so many years of being beaten down and humiliated, the question is whether Seth can resist creating a firestorm of horror when the bullies around him create one fatal, awful act that begs for revenge.

Soon, all hell breaks loose. And when it does, a war builds against Seth as others vie to take control of the amulet and use its powers for themselves. It's a war that could mean the death of Seth's friends--and even Seth himself.

From the best-selling author of FIFTH AVENUE and RUNNING OF THE BULLS, BULLIED is an intense thriller that moves at a break-neck pace.

In print, the set is about 350 pages long.

PRAISE FOR CHRISTOPHER SMITH:

***DAVID THOMSON ON THE BULLIED SERIES***
It seems I'm the first to review this grand finale to what has been a really great series. It's a bit different..I suggested in an earlier review that it was like a cross between Stephen King and J K Rowling..and totally immersed in fantasy. But it's fun and gripping in an addictive sort of way and well worth the read. Chris Smith has found the fool proof solution for dealing with any apparently difficult situation...magic and the power of thought! If you want to lop of a villain's head but don't have the means, it's simple...just 'think' a machete into your hand and hey presto, job done! And this sort of thing is prevalent right through the series, which sort of drifts away from the 'Bullied' theme sometime during Book 2. Interestingly, the author brings us right back to the theme towards the end of the concluding story and even leaves us with a very clear 'anti bullying' message. Really cleverly conceived and constructed. All in all, this series is superb writing from a newer author who won't stay 'newer' for long. I have to say I do prefer his more conventional thrillers, but the Bullied series is a great romp through magic and the supernatural, and if, like me, you initially shied away as this isn't really your normal genre, then, believe me, you'd be missing a treat. So I urge you all to join me and 'discover' the work of Chris Smith. When he hits the international best seller list time and again, as he's already started to do, you'll be able to say, like me, that you were enjoying his books when he was an unknown writer!

***PLANET KINDLE ON CHRISTOPHER SMITH***
"Fifth Avenue, the first novel by penned Christopher Smith, is a fantastic first effort and was the reason I was simply unable to put my Kindle down over this Christmas period. And I would go as far to say that it ranks as one of the best first novels I've ever read."--PLANET KINDLE

***P.M. RICHTER ON CHRISTOPHER SMITH***

"Fifth Avenue. A big, big novel. A blockbuster? Yes. A bestseller. It should be. The author, at the beginning of the novel, thanks the people who introduced him to the 'real' Fifth Avenue. I suspect the real one could not be as interesting or engrossing as this novel. ...This is a highly recommended novel. It deserves the five stars." -- P.M. RICHTER

***CHRIS TRUSCOTT ON CHRISTOPHER SMITH***

Christopher Smith delivers an amazing story that's worth the advance billing. ...His writing is smooth, his observations are sharp and the plot he built is downright stunning. --CHRIS TRUSCOTT

Nice one 23 Jan 2012
Format:Kindle Edition
Nicely written book about the sheer horror of big-time bullying and the parts played by both bullies and by teachers and other adults who condone by 'turning a blind eye' or actively allowing bullying to happen to children who are from less than perfect families, as if they deserve to to treated badly. After reading this book I switched on my pc today (23/01/12) to see a news article about an 11 year old special needs child in the USA who was thumped and attacked whilst other kids cheered the attackers on. Then the filmed attack was put onto Facebook. It was chilling how much it describes what's in this book! Excellent story about how after being bullied for years the victim suddenly aquires magical powers and pursues his attackers in an intelligent way, all the time fighting evil forces who want to gain the source of the powers. The book is in 4 sections, each building on the story. Very good read.

By Cheryl M-M TOP 500 REVIEWER
Format:Kindle Edition|Amazon Verified Purchase
This is a compilation of the four books from the Bullied series.
Bullied, Revenge, Witch and War.
I can remember reading the first and thinking what a strong message it was. How society, especially schools ignore blatant bullying for years and years. The way it is condoned by teachers, parents and other students. Parents because they don't want their children to be the underdog and often encourage their offspring to bully others. Teachers, because they don't want to rock the boat and often take out personal grievances on children. Students, because they don't want to become the next victim. Most importantly we as a society condone, because we do not see it as a criminal offence.
The plot has Seth receive an amulet, which gives him the power to destroy the people who make his life a misery. This amulet attracts the unwanted attention of witches and otherwordly beings, which means Seth is fighting his battle on two fronts. It is interesting to see that psychologically Seth the victim becomes Seth the possible bully. The power to seek and get revenge makes others fear him and he often crosses over the line that seperates the humane from the inhumane.
Again great reading with lots of underlying issues combined with supernatural plots.

Well worth a read 15 Jan 2012
Format:Kindle Edition
Well, I downloaded the first episode free and really enjoyed it. I then went on to buy the second, thinking perhaps I wouldn't continue after that, and then later the same day I bought the collection so I could finish reading to the end.

The book is quite far fetched, but was a great read for it. I didn't want to put it down. If you like supernatural, fast paced stories this is for you.

The book is well written wish a continuous moral thread running throughout. Not very suitable for young readers due to some of the language and scenes in it perhaps from 15 years+. (May be you want to read it first.)

I am looking forward to starting another book from this author.
