Product Description

Timeless Investing Strategies for Any Economy

For five decades, Warren Buffett has been making himself one of the wealthiest men in the world, amassing more than 30 billion dollars by investing in the stock market. Remarkably, he did it by spurning popular Wall Street trends, adhering instead to his own unique discipline, one the world has come to know as Buffettology. In "The Buffettology Workbook, " internationally acclaimed writer and lecturer Mary Buffett has again joined forces with David Clark, the world's leading authority on Warren Buffett's investment methods, to create an in-depth, step-by-step guide to the concepts and equations Warren Buffett uses to create fantastic wealth.

Here you will learn:

  • The difference between a great company and a great undervalued company
  • How the short-sightedness of Wall Street pundits can work to your advantage
  • Where to look for investments with long-term, consistent, and extraordinary growth potential
  • To perform the same financial calculations Buffett uses, and apply them to stocks you'd like to buy

disappointing book 16 July 2011
Format:Paperback
Very disappointed reading this book.

After reading Berkshire's annual meeting notes and annual report, reading this book wasn't a learning experience at all.

At few places, author has made remarks which is contrary to Buffett's philosophy (like Buffett loves banking business! it's well known that Buffett is very careful picking banking stock as high leaverage means small mistake could wipe out equity and has advised investors to leave financial stocks to someone who is experienced in making sense of financial statements)

Author also spent many pages in teaching us how to use financial calculator!(buffett doesn't keep computer or calculator in his office)

Author brilliantly suggested how to predict future returns by putting figures from the past. (buffett: if that is the case than librarians/historians would be in fortune 400 list)

From my experience I would recommend reading buffett directly from annual meeting notes and report- which enlightens once understanding about his flavour much more than any other book.

I've read all the Buffett books and this is the best step by step guide for learning how the master investor from Omaha makes all those millions. I've made real money following the methods in this book and I highly recommend it!!!

Certainly one of the best books I have, excellent exposition of the investment valuation and ideas, particularly the key points, sometimes a little confused because insist in the use of a calculator rather than offering formulation which is the academic and logical approach to expose mathematical ideas and concepts. Excellent excersises. Ideal complement Buffettology. This two books are some of the best of my book collection. This concepts maybe should be teached at school??
