A. Hyatt Verrill's ageless classic is as interesting a read today as it was when it first appeared in the 1929 Amazing Stories Quarterly. Verrill lived for many years here in Lake Worth and wrote well over a hundred books in his lifetime. He traveled with my sister's father, Paul Daniels, to many a dig in Mexico and Guatamala. 'The Bridge of Light' is both a fictional and semi-fictional account from his many explorations in Central America and his deep knowlege of the Mayan civilazation. I recommend this book to anyone with even a casual interest in Mayan history. You will find more fact than fiction in this book.
