This hip illustrated guide outlines everything you need to know about filling the role of bridesmaid - how to host a truly original hen party, wear the bridesmaid dress with panache and style, and most importantly, support the bride in every imaginable way. With good humour, veteran bridesmaid Kate Chynoweth covers the history of the bridesmaid, the etiquette and charm required to play the part, and countless tips for making the day run as smoothly as possible.

Brought this for my (soon to be) sister in law and thought it was a lovely book. Was slightly uncomfortable with the suggestions of how much to spend on the bride for a present/bridal shower/'don't expect the bride to pay for your outfit' as I didn't want her to think I was hinting! Everything is quoted in dollars but found this book a lovely way to get the bridesmaids excited about the proceedings!

Awesome Read for Bridesmaids-To-Be 24 Jun 2003

I am going to be a bridesmaid in a wedding this August and this book was exactly what I needed to help me know what to do and how to "be fabulous" while doing it. This book is very informative, but with a witty edge that makes it very entertaining. I wouldn't want to be in a wedding without having the knowledge this book has given me.

By William Shannon - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Paperback
A friend recently showed me a copy of this book because my daughter is getting married. I found the book to be wonderful and so infomative that I had to buy a copy for all of my daughter's bridesmaids. This book covers all the basic bridesmaids' duties and provides very creative, unique ways to make the whole process fun and successful. I highly recommend this book to everyone who is getting married!

I really liked it 13 Nov 2004
By V. M. Delozier - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Paperback
I found this book really enjoyable. I don't know much about weddings, the first one I'll be in is my own, so I wanted to get an idea about the bridesmaid thing. I thought that it does a pretty good job of explaining what the modern bridesmaid does. It was very well laid out, and easy to read (takes an hour and a half if you can sit down and go through it at once). I've already given it to one of my bridesmaids, and will be getting a copy for my other one very soon.
