Quite simply, this is one of the best albums of all time.Great songs, great singing,etc..Too bad Danny and this LP,along with his other 2 80`s LPs went unnoticed. Thanks Danny for being a killer writer. This would single handedly blow away anything released in the last 20 years.Whoever is listening out there, can we PLEASE get this in CD form???Listen and enjoy...

5.0 out of 5 stars Equally As Good As "Any Man's Hunger" 15 July 2012
By WILDE FAN - Published on Amazon.com
Danny's solo albums, "The Boyfriend" (1st), "Any Man's Hunger" (2nd), "Danny Wilde" (3rd) and even the much later "Spin This" (4th) are all FAR BETTER than anything by "The Rembrandts". I LIKE The Rembrandts.....But I LOVE Danny's solo albums!! "The Boyfriend" is a FANTASTIC album!! I love every single song!! For me, the BEST of the BEST are "Isn't It Enough"(which Patty Smyth covered, but did not do justice to), "Restless Heart", "Katherine" & "The Sound Of My Heart Breaking". It's a SIN AND A CRIME that Danny Wilde did not become a superstar and that his first THREE solo albums didn't become hugely successful. Because they certainly deserved to be!! Check it out and hear what you've been missing!!

This is one great record in every way. Great tunes, playing, singing, recording etc. etc.
I'm surprised it hasn't made it to CD format by now.
Yes, I made my own CD from the LP, but I'm buying the CD a.s.a.p.

One of my favorite recordings from the 20th century.
