Nicole Hurley (Jennifer Anniston - The Break Up) plays a reporter that skips out on a court appearance to follow up on a lead for a story that can't wait; by skipping bail she puts herself in the the sights of debt-riddled bounty-hunter Milo Boyd (Gerard Butler - 300), who just happens to be her ex-husband. Thinking it will be a cake-walk he soon learns that there is more to the story Nicole is investigating and she might just need his help. Milo needs to figure out where his loyalties lie; with his job? Or with the woman he loved?

The Bounty Hunter is an easy watch, full of comical moments. Both Butler and Anniston suit the characters perfectly with some fairly exciting on-screen chemistry. Christine Baranski plays Anniston's lascivious mother brilliantly and has some classic lines that will have you smiling. Jeff Garlin also pops up as Butler's boss and provides some decent humour.

All-in-all this isn't going to win any Oscars, but it's a great film that makes for easy-watching. I recommend this for a light-hearted enjoyable rom-com with some classic moments. A must-see!!

This is an inoffensive and instantly forgettable romantic comedy about a down at heel and buried in (gambling) debt ex-police officer turned bounty hunter who is assigned to bring in his ex-wife who has failed to comply with an order compelling her appearence to answer charges arising from driving into a police officer.

The movie opens with the attempted escape of Jennifer Aniston's character from the boot of her ex-husband turned bounty hunter's car and then skips back to proceeding days to set the scene. While being chased himself by debt collectors, who inadvertantly target an obsessive colleague of Aniston's character to great comic effect (this makes for some of the best humour in the feature), the bounty hunter himself pursues Aniston's character who is herself in hot pursuit of a story about corrupt cops and theft from evidence stores. Along the way the couple rediscover each others redeeming features and fall in and out of love once more, finishing with some seriously picture imperfect love as they occupy neighbouring cells. Its a story were one-up-manship, petty power struggles and belligerence are as much a feature of romantic ties as any dreamy affection, something which I think contributed to the enjoyment factor.

The characterisations are good for a rom-com, the villains appear genuinely menacing for their abilities to dispense violence and the single shoot out in the film I have to say is shot very well, I liked the moment of tension leading to a split second quick draw and cut away to another scene with the shots being over heard elsewhere. It was a sequence I'd not have credited a feature of this kind with coming up with.

Its not likely to be blockbuster material and it is some what forgettable, this sex in the city meets beverly hills cop cross over works fine for an evenings entertainment and I would class it as being "Its OK".

Andy Tennant directed "The Bounty Hunter" in 2010, starring Gerard Butler and Jennifer Aniston, in which (according to the blurb) "Soon after their reunion, the always-at-odds duo find themselves on a run-for-their-lives adventure".

It was on television and we spotted it channel hopping. With little else on, we watched it. If this is "run-for-their-lives", then life has few terrors. They seem to play it for laughs (few), are always in control and looking their best. For Butler and Aniston fans, this is probably worth a viewing but for those who like a real "run-for-their-lives adventure", this is not it. Need a hair-wash? Clean the cooker?
