I thought this was very good, sympathetic and sexy but with enough of a story line to make it worth reading for its own sake. I have no idea why the other reviewer is so scathing, as she fails to support her opinions, but I disagree on all three points. For me, the writing is just right for this type of novel, fast and simple. Okay, so it's not Shakespeare, but there's a time an a place for high flown prose and it's not when you want to relax with a sexy story. The Boss is also imaginative, certainly far more so than the majority of Black Lace books, with an interesting and well developed central character in Fizz, plenty of atmosphere and detail, along with an excellent twist at the end, which is anything but predicatable. Tastes differ, certainly, and if your horizons are limited to vanilla sex this may not be your thing, but it is among the best of the imprint, maybe even the best Monica Belle and I recommend it to anybody who enjoys there romance with a good dash of spice.
