The book is brill, but needs more pictures of the cast and more information about the actual programme. Also the vocabulary is quite complicated for us 12 year olds! But i LOVE charmed and the books, i just wish that charmed would become more popular in the U.K.

I don't know who wrote the product description for this book - but its got a glaring error in it. As any "Charmed" fan will know, the witches were "Prue (Prudence)", Piper and Phoebe, followed by Paige after Prue's death. Where amazon got "Persephone" from is anyone's guess!!!!
I also noted the complaints that all the book contains is spells/charms - its meant to be the Charmed Book of Shadows - why are they expecting a book about the series/pictures etc?

Although intially based on the hit US show "CHARMED" it gives an important insight into the real world of wicca, making "CHARMED" more believable and creating an understanding of witchcraft. It gives the reader useful tips on how to practise withcraft and essential information on the show. My favourite part of the books uncovers the bloopers and the episode guides. A wonderful gift for any "CHARMED" fan who wants more information on the show and wicca.

This isn't a particularly good companion for Charmed fans. It talks a lot about Wicca and how accurate or inaccurate "Charmed" is on the subject... I have to say, I don't care that much and I myself am a Wiccan. I certainly never watched Charmed hoping for spiritual or life style advice, it is fictional entertainment and the author of this book seems to lose track of that a bit. The book has huge sections on tools, herbs etc that a Wiccan might use (some of which were seen on the show), while episode guides and actual series information comes across as something of an after-thought in this so called "companion". It also only covers the 1st two seasons.

Honestly, the official companions "The Book of Three: Volumes 1 and 2" are wonderful books filled with plenty of well written, detailed info and lots of pics from the series. Unfortunately, this author doesn't seem to be able to decide whether the book is a Charmed guide or a start up guide for Wiccans... to be honest, it is far from being the best example of either.

This book was nothing like i excpected,in fact it was better. It is very informative and a good starting point for anyone interested or wishing to pursue this path. There is a wealth of information on setting out your alter,a breif lesson on herbs and their magickal properties, crystals, and even ordinary objects and things you may not have imagined would find a use in witchcraft! Then of course there`s the section on spells.

I wouldn`t say the book was hugely conscerned with the Charmed characters (although they do pop up),but more about the concepts and meaning behind the charmed spells and themes. All round this is a good book which i would reccommend to new witches and Charmed fans alike, that said I truly beleive this book could arouse the interest of practically anyone - especially those that were compelled enough to read the reveiws in the first place! It has wet my appetite and I have ordered several more books on this matter on the strengh of this book.

This book is good if you want to know abou6t witchcraft, and all about the 1st and 2nd series of Charmed. But if you are looking for a book about the characters and crew members, this is not the book to buy. Its just a cheap book, to be sold by some one who wants to make money from the T.v. series Charmed. If you love everything about Charmed then youll like it. But real expensive for an UNOFFICAL one. I hope they do bring a OFFICAL book. This only has a couple of spells, it nothing like the real BOOK OF SHADOWS. Lets hope they just copy every spell from the series...
