About the Author
Dian Hanson was born in Seattle in 1951. For 25 years she produced various men's magazines, including Puritan, Juggs and Leg Show, before becoming TASCHEN's sexy book editor in 2001. Her many books for TASCHEN include Vanessa del Rio: Fifty Years of Slightly Slutty Behavior, Tom of Finland XXL, and The Big Butt Book. She lives in Los Angeles.

The perfect roundup to the Big Book series by Dian Hanson, this one was a pretty obvious addition to the ongoing saga of yesteryear porn. As the title indicates, this is a smorgasbord of wide open pussy from the early 1910's up to nowadays. We get the whole deal from furry ones to clean shaven, as the chapters go from one era to another. It's not much different from the previous other books in it's content, as the majority of the pictures come from unknown sources, mostly amateur or under the counter magazines, and some of the girls herein should have better kept their clothes on, as they look uglier naked.
I kept imagining that this book would generally cover the Hustler, Cheri and various other spread-eagle magazines of the 70's, but there are no photos from those magazines, so we get more of a girl next door series of pictures, and I'm not talking Playboy here. These are real girls, like the ones we run into every day, that is, if we still lived in the sixties, but it's amazing how beaver shots go all the way back to the beginning of photography.
I would have preferred if the ladies weren't so plain looking (some are really ugly), but we get some beaver shots of Betty Page (that seem to have been taken by extremely amateur photographers). We also get some comments by "pussy" experts, though why was Flower Tucci chosen over Cytherea as the best squirting girl, I'll leave up to you.
The book ends with a shocker, that nearly had me drop it in utter disgust, until I read the feature and understood what it was all about, and had a laugh instead. But I don't know if this book was the ideal place to put such pictures. I guess the editor is having the biggest laugh on all the male readers.
By the way, those who believe this is nothing but cheap porn, might be right... but it's never been so gloriously packaged.

Dian Hanson has delivered the goodies for us lovers of female beauty and their blossoming lotuses here.
Best of all, she has had the wherewithal to include a section on Britain's loveliest and most intelligent stripper & erotic performance artist, Mouse [...], I look forward to more art photographers and exotic theatre troupes employing her formidable talents, as I've seen her strip on several occasions and she certainly brings the house down - she's also got a great personality and a thoughtful mind - all that in one package !
This book will make a great present for the man or woman in your life who adores the loveliness of womenhood - where to next Dian ?!

Ah...at last, in its full glory and colour, the beauty of womanhood, no pixels, no airbrush retouching and no black marker pen defacing by Mullahs or Postal clerks. This is not just top shelf stuff, this is pure "under lock and key reading material". This book can land one with a hefty fine, cane and jail in some of the countries that I have worked in before.
