A brilliant book, but one of concern to a limited public. Fans of Celtic history, Irish geneology, or of the Magauran clan (Magauran, McGovern, MacGovern, the traditional Gaelic Maig Shamhradain...) will find it very thorough and informative. Copies of this history are rare: the only other I know of (besides the original in the National Archive in Dublin) is in my brother's possession.

Before books, the oral tradition carried history forward. Songs and poems like this were essential, and still are to this day. Now we can write things down, forget them, think about looking them up, realize we forgot where we wrote them down.
Not your best-bound book, but the pages have not fallen out yet. If they do, I will tape them back in. Meanwhile, treat it gently and it will outlast your need for it.
