I bought this book because as a Professional Trainer i under use flipcharts in a training session, workshop, meetings or coaching sessions.
This book provides a range of useful tools to help you write nice, pretty and exciting flip charts that will assist in getting the message across during a training event.
There are lots of tips on font zize, layout, structure a flip chart, colour, and picture templates that you can use to write smart flips. The book is also packed with games which gives you ideas on how you can incorporate flip chart in problem solving, fact finding, and view seeking excerices.
The only downside in relation to the book are the games are not very clearly laid out and can be hard to understand how to apply them in a session, there are very few examples to show you examples of the games, or templates that you could use as a basis for your sessions.
Also in places in the book the grammar, and english is not written in plain english and can blur the points the author is trying to make during the book which is why i rated it a 3 stars and not 4.

Don't even consider any other flip chart book, they don't come close. This one has it all.. designing flip charts, arranging them, writing them, making them visually interesting. Tons of useful and helpful information.
This book, together with A Picture's Worth 1000 Words: A Workbook for Visual Communications are all you need to become an effective visual communicator, even if you can't draw anything! If you think you're just not good with flip charts, buy these two and prepare to amaze yourself with the transformation!

Despite the digital age, the flip chart is unlikely to go the way of the Over Head Projector! And thank goodness. But how can we make flipping more interesting? There are lots of ideas here - including training activities and icebreakers. HOT TIP from the book - Have you ever fumbled for the right page on the flip chart pad during a session? Tab key pages on the flip chart pad as you go!
