This book is my Bible! it is just absolutlely fabulous! You just don't get bombshells anymore since Marilyn, Sophia and Audrey. But with a little help from this book, you could be the next one. It is almost like a self confidence book but in a very stylish sort of way. As soon as I had read a bit of it, I felt so much better and felt as if I could too be one of the 'bombshells'.

I adore this little book! The illustrations are beautiful, and it has a delicious sense of humour. Often I find reading these 'how to' beauty books just reminds me of all my little inadequacies (hips too big, nose a funny shape etc. etc.) This book is the perfect antidote. Just a few minutes of reading it makes me feel instantly glamorous and bombshell-like!

I was delighted to recieve The Bombshell Manual of Style- its a gorgeously presented and charmingly written super-girlie celebration of slingbacks, champagne and sparkle. The illustrations are fabulous and Laren Stover writes with real empathy for women who live to indulge. I did however find her tone a little dictatorial ie wear this specific dress or you wont be a bombshell. There seemed little recognition of the reader's personal tastes but as a study of The Bombshell as a historical and cultural figure it is an excellent read. This really is a book for ladies who lunch and want to buy themselves a little treat. I found myself putting on my diamante necklace and lounging in my boudior dreaming of luxury for days after devouring this delightful book.
