4.0 out of 5 stars Not to be taken seriously. 30 Oct 2005
By N Weeks
Format:DVD
Released in the UK by Momentum Asia. For some reason they are marketing it as a follow up to Ong Bak, highlighting it as the "Return of Tony Jaa." He has a small cameo. As do many stars from Thai TV, movies and sport.

The action sequences are well choreographed, the plot ok, and it is most definitely not to be taken seriously. Very funny, the sequence with the water pistol is hilarious.

One word of warning, the 'F' and 'C' words appear frequently in the subtitles and their Thai equivalents are on the soundtrack. Not one for maiden aunts or small children. But if you are not easily offended, sit back and enjoy.

3.0 out of 5 stars dont be fooled 31 Oct 2005
By A Customer
Format:DVD
After seein films such as ONG BAK and BORN TO FIGHT i couldnt wait to see another film from these guys so I searched the internet for more movies like this. I was happy to find one that also said to star Tony Jaa. However I was fooled. This IS NOT AN ACTION/FIGHT film like the others. This is a comedy/action film starring the short bald dude from ONG BAK and the girl as well. The cover of this film is very misleading showing pictures of guys with guns and cars blowing up leading me to think this movie was good like born to fight or ong bak. It also sys featuring the return of tony jaa. So let me save you some time and money. The movie is full of corny fake action, (not the mind blowin stuff youve seen in the other films, there are even special effects and ropes rigged upfor flips but its all done comedically.) The movie is somewhat funny if you can read the subtitles fast enough. but as for my man tony jaa, I waited about an hour into this movie and started wondering "where is this dude" when all of a sudden the main character from bodyguard(who is also in ong bak(humlae) ) bumps into Jaa in the market knocking him down, jaa gets up kicks some real ass the way you wanted to see it and leaves There is a comedic ong bak reference that made me laugh but all in all I was dissapointed. This movie is not all that bad it is entertaining it just wasnt what I expected. If you think this is gonna be the next sickest action flick from baa ram ewe then Im sorry to burst your bubble cause its a comedy. Just buy ong bak and born to fight and you will be very happy.

1.0 out of 5 stars The Bodyguard 9 Jan 2013
Format:DVD|Amazon Verified Purchase
Had been sent the wrong version of The Bodyguard dvd - not the one starring Whitney Housten which I had ordered. Sadly it had never been put right so totally disappointed with the service on this occasion.
