Personally I did not think this was one of his best.Good dry humor,pehaps if I read it again I will enjoy it more.The Story of Lucy Gualt by William Trevor is still my all time favourite.Old Jazz Fan.

Trevor at his Funniest 4 April 2000

Recently reissued after being impossible to find for years, this early Trevor comedy is one of his funniest. If you are a fan of Tevor's later things and haven't read it, you have a real treat in store.
