Amongst the best of the tutorial DVDs for the acoustic blues guitar that I've used.
If you've never heard of Keb' Mo' then check out his CDs, he's an amazing player.
To think that he shares some of the techniques he uses in an instructional DVD is amazing.
This is a bit like learning to play from Robert Johnson...
The presentation style is refreshing too, no flash and bluster, no wordy interludes, just simple encouragement for the aspiring blues guitarist.
Keb' Mo' co-presents this DVD with Fran Banish who adds his interpretation of some of the techniques demonstrated giving you two approaches to most of the exercises.
The DVD is 75 minutes long and you'll want more, sorry, I mean mo'.
A print out of the tablature for each of the exercises is included but as Homespun Video run an online subscription based interactive service this print out is fairly meagre considering.
Having the DVD is probably a better investment than joining up though, as it'll run on any DVD player not just your PC.
Talking of investment, the price may give you the blues.
But you know about suffering and art, right?
Considering the age of the recording and the current exchange rate, it's possibly a little overpriced.
But hey, check out the other guitar DVDs, they're all about the same price.
And after all, having someone show you the keys to the highway secret chord progression is priceless.
Mo' like this please Keb'.
