absolutely brilliant! 24 May 2010
Format:Mass Market Paperback
Have never done anything like this before, but just had to. I found Elin Hilderbrand's A summer affair in my local Tesco and bought it as a holiday read. I thoroughly enjoyed it, then went to look for some more of her titles and found The Blue Bistro. It had me gripped right from the start, everyday life in a small but popular bistro. Wondering where the characters would end up and with who. Such an enjoyable read. If anyone asked me i would have to say this is one of my all time favourite reads.

Dreary 13 Aug 2011

Format:Mass Market Paperback|Amazon Verified Purchase
Bought this book as I have read others by Elin Hiderbrand, her best for me being 'A Summer Affair', which I could not put down. However I found this book to be dreary and predictable. Far too much emphasis on food and not enough in depth content. Got bored reading it very quickly and found it at times to be frustrating. Only decided to finish it as I don't like to give up on a book but would not recommend.

addictive book 7 Dec 2010
Format:Mass Market Paperback
I am two thirds of the way through this book at the moment and dont want it to finish,it is so entertaining and has transported me to the beautiful island of Nantucket and the restaurant that I SO wish I could visit. The descriptions of the food are truly mouthwatering and I'm sure I have on weight reading this book!! This is the second book I have read by this author and I will certainly be ordering the other books that she has written as I think she has a certain style of writing that draws you in and definately leaves you wanting more. I highly recommend this book to anyone who enjoys a light book full of interesting characters with a compelling plot and you are kept wondering how it will end.
