Originally I heard about Seth Garner from my local paper and, liking the sound of his debut book, gave it a try. Working in marketing myself, I was interested to read a thriller set in the industry - and I wasn't disappointed. Mr Garner starts the book with a bang and gradually builds the tension and piles on the pressure to his main character.I won't write what happens as that would be telling, but suffice to say there are more than a few unexpected twists and turns along the way, I can tell you!! The writing style reminded me of one of my favourite writers: Patrick Redmond, especially when he was at his best with 'The wishing game' or 'The puppet show'. It was a real 'find' and at 230-ish pages, a pacy read! I'll look out for more by Mr Garner, as the article mentioned he has another book out in August.
