Fantastic!, 28 Mar 2011

A highly recommended collection of stories from a talented new writer. Sara is a master at the short story genre, her stories are succinct and clever and the title story, The Blonde is highly original and will leave you spitting out slang long after you've finished the story!

Curiouser and curiouser, 21 April 2011

Said, Alice. Well actually not Alice, me. I'm not Alice at all. Who I am is a guy that takes a metro for 35 minutes each day.
So I love classics like the Catcher in the Rye, but really, blah blah blah... who cares? The kind of people that read that story know literature (I guess). I like different stuff. I've just finished reading Abercrombie's fantasy books. So gritty, so ... for want of a better word... different.
So where was I. Ah The Blonde. I must admit I picked this on a whim. I was pretty taken a back with the pace and the language. If the author reads this, I guess you did research into the language of the time???
... You don't say.
Anyway, short but well worth the pennies and the story something I'll try to use anecdotally should the time arise. It probably won't arise, but I was there, at least as an observer.
Be there, or as I now would say, be,,, curvy ;)
